MESO IMAGERY...

MESO IMAGERY - Meso imagery is a way to plan, organise and work towards your goals that combines the individual phases of your goals with the practise of imagery work in picturing your goals having been achieved. More commonly we hear people refer to this work as visualisation, however this only incorporates one individual sense; vision. When we incorporate multiple senses as though we are actually experiencing the goals achieved in this moment, the brain is more powerfully affected than when we just see a visual of the outcome. ‘Meso’ imagery refers to the chunking break down of each stage of the journey and has us imagining the outcome of each section of achievement towards our final goal. An example of this is perhaps all that you would need to achieve this week in order for you to be on track for the goal you have set yourself for one month from now. Find a quiet space and uninterrupted moment and in your mind transport yourself to the end of the week and be present in the achievements that have occurred. Picture it, hear it, smell it, taste it, feel it, put it all together and experience it before it has happened. Identify if you’ve missed anything out, if you need to change anything and let your mind picture that moment as real and begin to help you to create it, to stay focused, motivated, excited and on track.
