TRAVELLING & STAYING LEAN
PLANNING AHEAD - TRAVELLING & STAYING LEAN
Travel can throw even the most disciplined routine off track. Whether it’s for work, holiday, or life in between, being out of your regular environment can make it harder to eat well, train consistently, and stay lean.
The good news? You don’t need to be perfect — just prepared. With a few smart strategies, you can stay lean, feel energised, and still enjoy your trip.
Set your intentions before you leave
A successful trip starts with the right mindset. Ask yourself: Do I want to maintain, am I ok with a slight regression or do I want to come back leaner. Your goals will determine how strict or flexible you want to be — and that’s totally up to you.
Pack smart each day
Take items with you each day to avoid slipping up when you can’t get what you need. Healthy protein snacks, healthy fat snacks, healthy fibre snacks and supplements. AND LOTS OF WATER.
Research
Do some online investigating before you go to a specific location or venue. Plan what you can get and what you’re going to have. Be prepared.
Stick to healthy active habits
This is usually quite easy. Stay active. Walk a lot. Train every morning in the hotel gym before your day starts. Get it done. Move a lot, run, body weight workouts. Burn calories!
Hydrate, Sleep, Stress
Easy weight-loss tips to keep you on track that have a huge impact. Stay hydrated. Sleep well. De-stress. Do these without fail and this will account for keeping off 100's of grams of body fat.
80:20 Rule
Remember you’re on holiday. This is a life moment for making memories. Staying 80% on track and splurging 20% of the time will not derail you. You will come home and fix the 20% quickly.
