TRAINING FOR RESULTS

TRAINING FOR RESULTS – BALANCE, RESISTANCE, RECOVERY

Getting results isn’t just about working harder than you’ve every worked before in order to reach results you’ve never reach before — it’s about training smart, overcoming resistance and incorporating adequate downtime and recovery.

Smart training means working to an applicable program. One that incorporates progressive overload, challenge & stimulus, resistance & cardio, mobility, balance and coordination, variety, correct frequency, adequate load and calculated rest and recovery. So we want to apply the balance of all these concepts into our training.

We then need to follow this plan. That’s easy in theory. But life adds in the emotions and the feelings that determine how we act and whether or not we in fact do follow through. So we need to be mindful of the emotional resistance that trips us up. Stay present. Stay aware of the plan and what you need to do. Don’t gradually make training your enemy and start to resent and resist.

And lastly, recovery. Your results come from your nutrition and your training. That’s what you think right? Because that’s where all your hard work goes. Recovery can’t play a big role because that’s easy and effortless. Is it though? How easy is it for you to: Stop. Rest. Be quiet. Be calm. Feel relaxed. De-stress. Don’t stress. Stretch. Sleep. Have quiet time. And so on...for the modern lady it’s hard and it rarely get’s done.

So remember these three pillars to tap in to next level results; balance, avoiding resistance & recovery.
